We believe that utilizing cutting-edge technology will result in a positive tangible impact on enhancing healthcare professionals’ knowledge and providing developed healthcare services to patients with up-to-date trends and best healthcare practices.
Therefore to achieve our mission; we initiated a CME program (Continuing Medical Education) which emphasizes valued educational training sessions and scientific practices to all levels of physicians using innovative equipment aiming to improve healthcare quality for patients through enriching skills, knowledge and experience of physicians with the latest technology and developments in the field of ophthalmology in addition to supporting mutual professional goals which will lead inevitably toward improving the Egyptian society.
Our aim is to provide clinical education and practical simulation training through different training programs and sessions that deliver diversified and comprehensive healthcare knowledge to physicians and which being applied thoroughly at ophthalmology care clinics, centers and hospitals such as:
1. WetLab Training Program :
Orchidia team has prepared, equipped and organizes a continuous internal Wetlab Course that offers the basic knowledge in Phacoemulsification Stimulation Surgeries which we specially designed to meet the requirements of junior surgeons with providing Step by Step training on Phaco procedures.
In addition to self-paced learning, interactive courses, the training also gives them the confidence to complete a successful and comprehensive procedure for Phaco surgery at the end of the course.
Our aim is to provide upgraded surgical skills and knowledge for creating experienced groups of professionals and spread our vision of quality care across all Healthcare sectors.
Since the start of the program in 2016, more than 500 junior ophthalmologists had been trained, while 300 of the previously trained on the beginner's course will be eligible for the advanced course in 2018.
2. CME:
Then; we have expanded the CME project to include a constant learning environment that elevates Healthcare Quality System , by establishing the CME initiative as scientific awareness sessions, conferences, separate talks or panel discussions that being organized and presented by the best and highly selective KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) in the field of Ophthalmology to physicians in different levels and areas reaching all over Egypt , the goal of these sessions is to raise awareness of scientific knowledge about diversified and various topics starting from the basic knowledge to the recent updates and innovations in field of ophthalmology.
3. Gate to Elevate (CBT):
The professional knowledge is clearly not enough to sharpen your interpersonal skills as an ophthalmologist, therefore, the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is our new focus in developing soft skills program that we started in 2016 and we will continue in 2017. Our goal is to change patterns of physicians’ thinking, attitudes or behaviors that are behind his/her difficulties or culture, change the way they feel, solve most emotional problems to open “Gates to Elevate” relationship between patient and physician and delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Our qualified trainers present the CBT program through a combination of psychotherapy and behavioral therapy sessions that will help you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking and the relationship between your problems, behaviors, and thoughts, so you can have an unclouded vision of the challenging situations and respond to them in an effective and efficient method. CBT is an effective tool to help anyone learn how to better manage stressful life situations.
